If you’re an old reader, you may know that I’ve offered the Acer Aspire E15 in many places because it offers excellent value for money. You get some of the advanced features and specifications for only $800, which I think is a lot.
The Aspire E15 features a 15.6-inch IPS display that provides good colour accuracy and viewing angles. The quality of the assembly of the laptop is quite good considering the price. The design of a laptop may not appeal to everyone because it is simple and straightforward.
Launching the latest Ubuntu 18.04 on this device is no problem because it has powerful specifications. Acer has beaten an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor. The previous generation Intel Core i7-8550U, which is good enough for flawless Ubuntu operation. The laptop also features a 6-core processor, Intel Core i7-8750H, which runs faster but costs $150 more than this model.
In terms of storage, you have a 256 GB SSD and an open slot to add a hard drive or SSD of your choice.
