Programming is not what you know, but what you can understand. – Chris Kiefer

The above quote changed all my ideas about programming. Like you, I am a programmer, and from programmer to programmer, here are the 11 best applications for programming in 2021.

To make it easier to understand this post, here is the scope, i.e. what the application basically offers, the platforms and prices. So, without further ado, let’s get to the heart of the matter.

Grasshopper

Scope of application : JavaScript Platform
: iOS & Android
Price : Free

Grasshopper is a Google application centered on JavaScript. The application uses a five-minute approach where you get to know JavaScript bit by bit. When you open the application for the first time, you will be asked several questions and based on these questions you will be presented with actions you can take.

The application starts with simple lessons, but as you progress, the exercises become more difficult. You will also receive a daily bonus for opening the application. When you complete the courses, the application displays certificates that you can store and share with your friends.

iOS

Android

SOLO

Scope of application : Python, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Ruby, HTML, CSS, SQL and other Platforms
: iOS & Android
Price: freemium

SoloLearn is one of the best programming applications I have ever used. It’s not just a compiler, it’s a place where thousands of users can share their knowledge. You can learn more than 15 languages, and each language course comes with an easy-to-use interface and instructions.

The application tracks your progress while offering quizzes to help you learn faster. In addition to learning, we have a community tab where you can perform fun tasks.

In the codes section you can start encoding in more than ten languages, while seeing codes written by thousands of users. You can see their code, initiate the exit, and wake up if you like. The SoloLearn tool is almost a one-stop-shop for programmers.

iOS

Android

Enki

Scope of application : Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, Web Technologies
Platform: iOS & Android |
Price: freemium

Next on the list is Enki. Enki is not just for programming. In addition to programming, it offers security tutorials, spreadsheets, Git, Blockchain, Linux, and more. This application is more than enough for the fanatic programmer because it contains Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, HTML and CSS.

The application asks a number of questions when you first open it, as it gradually registers your activity. You can even form or be part of a team and learn together with your friends.

iOS

Android

Code

Scope of application : Platform JavaScript, Python, HTMl and CSS
: iOS and Android
Price: freemium

The code does not require an account, so you can start learning right away. The application has three tabs : Python, JavaScript and the Web. If you’re working, you’ll see a progress bar at the top. At the end of the lesson you will see a check mark next to the lesson. The web tab is divided into themes instead of languages to make it easier to learn different languages and settings at the same time.

The questions are mainly about the coding, and the blanks have to be filled in. The application may not meet all your needs, but it can introduce you to the world of advanced programming.

iOS

Android

W3Schools

Scope of application : Programming and scripting for platform
: Android
Price: free

If you don’t know w3Schools, you will find w3Schools on the first page when searching online for questions about HTML or CSS. w3Schools is the place to learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and SQL.

When I use the application, I feel like it’s just a website turned into an application, but it’s responsive. As you learn the language, you have an editor and a compiler to try it out.

The application does not offer any team functions or activities, but if you want to start learning quickly, this would be one of the most convenient options because it does not ask you to create an account.

Android

Missed

Scope of application : Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Platform: iOS & Android
Price : Freemium

Mimo applications are divided into 4 parts.

  1. You get a network where you learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript together.
  2. You’ll get a Python department
  3. javaScript is also available separately
  4. You can learn HTML and CSS without JavaScript.

You can also browse and learn each language section by section in the browser tab, but to register for a section you must fill in the previous sections. The application keeps track of your goals and reminds you of them every day (if enabled).

When you open the application for the first time, you will be asked a few questions about your level of encryption and, depending on your skills, you will be asked questions. For example, questions at the beginner level should be clear, while questions at the intermediate level should be derived directly from the coding.

Depending on the application, you will get more than 60 hours of content.

iOS

Android

Concentrator for programming

Scope of application : Multiple languages and web technologies

As Google Play’s Editor’s Choice application, the list of courses in this application is exceptionally long. Most courses are free and you can register for them with a simple mouse click. The application shows you what you are going to learn and in each lesson you will see different options such as learning, compiling, cheating etc.

You can follow your activities in the Training section. The PRO plan includes many courses, unlimited access and certificates, but I think the free application is more than enough to get you started.
