Dreaming Dimension is a deck-building roguelike in which, unlike the popular Slay the Spire and other similar titles, we can move freely in a three-dimensional scene divided into squares. Gradually, a map is discovered on which treasures, enemies and other dangers can be found.
Dreaming Dimension’s combat system is very similar to that of the aforementioned Slay the Spire: We have three energy points each turn that we can use to play another card from our deck. At the top of the screen we can also see the cards that our opponents will use. So we have to try to act on that and play offensively or defensively if we have to. The important thing, as always, is that we learn to find synergies with our own cards.
Each time we win a battle, we gain coins, experience and the ability to add a new card to our deck. It is important to note that it is not always a good idea to add cards to a deck, as sometimes it is much more useful to have multiple cards, but they complement each other very well. A small but effective deck is much better than a deck full of powerful cards that don’t produce synergy.
Dreaming Dimension is an excellent roguelike map with a deep and fun battle system and great graphics. The game also manages to add new elements to the increasingly common formula of the great Slay the Spire.
