Huawei is expanding its AppGallery portfolio and has created one of the most popular applications in Pakistan – Easypaisa.
Since its global launch in April 2018, AppGallery is now available in more than 170 countries/regions, with 420 million active users around the world every month as of March 2020. In Pakistan alone, Huawei has introduced the top 100 applications based on user feedback in its AppGallery, with the latest addition to the first Easypaisa payment application in Pakistan.
The inclusion of Easypaisa in the HUAWEI gallery was eagerly awaited. Huawei users can now open their Easypaisa wallet and do all their spending, pay their bills and accept money transfers – to truly embrace the digital lifestyle.
The arrival of Easypaisa heralds an achievement, as AppGallery Huawei has made progress in transferring Pakistan’s key financial applications to its market.
When the Easypaisa application was launched in the Huawei AppGallery, Scott Huang, Regional Director of Huawei Pakistan, said his customers had shown great interest in using the banking application on their new Huawei devices.

In the second quarter of 2020, AppGallery Huawei rapidly grew to become the third largest app market in the world, thanks to Huawei’s global dominance as the number 01 smartphone brand.
Only in Pakistan have we seen that more and more people are using the Huawei AppGallery, not only to get their favourite apps, but also to send their wish list for transferring apps to the platform. Huawei has worked hard to improve AppGallery for its customers, as the number of applications downloaded to the platform reached 210 billion in 2019. For example, the ecosystem of mobile services (Huawei Mobile Services, HMS) has grown rapidly worldwide. From July 2020, Huawei will have more than 700 million active users per month. The number of registered developers worldwide has reached 1.6 million and more than 81,000 applications are integrated at the heart of the HMS.
