The Oppo Watch 2 was launched back in early 2017 as a fashion accessory and a fun piece of technology with a unique, circular design. But the company has now confirmed that the successor to the Watch 2 will be a fully fledged smartwatch with a Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor. The watch will be slightly larger than its predecessor, which means the new model will have a slightly larger display than the existing Watch 2, which is still impressive at 1.4 inches.

The Oppo Watch 2 has been listed as the latest tech news in late October, and the rumors are spot on. The device is expected to be released sometime in 2016, and to have a Snapdragon Wear 4100 and a circular display.

The smartwatch runs on Wear OS by Google (previously known as Android Wear) which is based on Android. Now, Oppo Watch 2 will have two designs – the square display, and circular display. Both models will get 42mm & 46mm screen sizes for different users. The huge upgrade to come in storage area, where it will double from 8GB to 16GB storage space. Massive amount of storage will be useful to store plenty of apps, games, watch faces, and offline music. It will also get new stress function, Oppo Relax to control your stress level. Tipster also claims one of the Oppo Watch 2 model will offer eSIM connectivity. The new adding will let users forget their phones at home and make direct calls from the smartwatch using microphone & speaker or Bluetooth Headsets. The launch date for Oppo Watch 2 could be in July or August. In China, it will run on Wear OS-based RTOS, and in global market, it will run on pure Wear OS by Google software. In the event, Oppo may launch another Oppo Watch Free Sports smartwatch in sports section. At the launching, it could also get Wear OS 3.0 version with all its goodies.
